5313- Creating Significant Learning Environments
In this class, I was able to redefine my goals and focus on what our learners needed to implement my innovation plan for our new teacher academy in the coming years. I created meaningful and structured professional learning opportunities that will help guide our new teachers in implementing new ideas, pedagogy, and a blended learning model into their classrooms to enhance student success.
A New Culture of Learning
Creating a new culture of learning in a program or school district can be a challenging task. We are transitioning from a model in our new teacher's academy that was built upon strategy but seemed to be missing a crucial component. Our goal is to shift from a traditional education model to a learning experience that focuses on active participation, collaboration, and support, in order to move in the right direction and achieve success for both our teachers and our students. My plan is to incorporate a blended learning model to provide additional support in achieving our goal. For a detailed view of the plan, please click the link below.

My Learning Philosophy
Creating my own learning philosophy was a thought-provoking experience that opened my eyes to the limitations of traditional education. It made me realize that the way I was taught doesn't necessarily reflect the best way for me to learn and that there is definitely not a one-size-fits-all approach to the way we learn. This exercise was enlightening and has helped me understand my own way of teaching to others, whether they are teachers or students. You can view my learning philosophy by clicking the link below.

Learning Environment
A well-designed learning environment is crucial for our students to achieve academic success. I used Finks' Three-Column Table to explore the connections between different concepts and develop engaging lessons for new teachers. These lessons are designed to help educators implement new strategies and cooperative learning while using a blended learning model, which we want them to take back and implement into their classrooms.

Understanding by Design
I used the Understanding by Design template to dive deeper into lesson planning after completing Fink's three-column table. This process helped me visualize the desired outcomes and the next steps for our new teachers to use the blended learning model in our new teacher academy. Growth Mindset
After finishing this course on creating meaningful learning environments, I am inspired to enhance my growth mindset plan with a fresh perspective. By revising my growth mindset plan, I am now better prepared to support new teachers in effectively implementing a growth mindset in their classrooms. My updated plan aligns with the creation of meaningful learning environments, where learners can grow from feedback and setbacks.
