Instructional Design Online Learning

Picture
Online content creation is a familiar practice for many educators, especially after the rapid transition to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, technology has become an integral part of classroom instruction. I'm excited to see students develop the advanced technological skills they'll need for future careers. I'm thrilled to contribute to their learning journey. When designing this blended learning course for new teachers, I aimed to balance familiar apps with latest technological tools, ensuring meaningful and engaging learning experiences. This new teacher academy is a passion of mine, and I'm delighted to explore it through innovative technology.

Outline

In designing the online blended learning courses for the new teacher academy, I aimed to replicate our successful in-person teaching methods. I typically begin with an introduction, followed by reinforcing activities, and culminate in a shared project to celebrate learning. This online plan mirrors that structure. I'm eager to observe how our teachers connect with the material and each other through digital platforms. To explore the unit outline and plan, please click the button below.

Implementation

Analyzing the implementation of our online new teacher courses proved invaluable, allowing me to assess its practicality for learners working independently at home. While designed for asynchronous learning, I wanted to ensure teachers had opportunities for module introductions, individual conferencing, and collaborative spaces. I believe this unit successfully balances independent creativity with structured support, immersing teachers in the world of poetry. Usability and Reflection

The usability reflection process allowed me to improve my unit significantly. By incorporating the insightful feedback from stakeholders and peers, I was able to optimize the learning experience and foster learner development.
