Usability and Reflection
To promote continuous improvement, it is essential to actively involve stakeholders in the blended learning process of our new teacher academy. Their firsthand experience with the course content and instructional methods will provide us with valuable feedback, allowing us to refine and enhance our offerings as needed.
Feedback from stakeholders regarding the effectiveness of activities, clarity of goals, and engagement levels is essential for improving our program. This input enables us to make timely adjustments to address teachers' needs. By prioritizing these reflections, we cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, significantly enhancing the overall impact of our program.

Reflect on who you were able to have conduct the usability testing? Were you able to get the right people? Why or why not? What can you do to better improve this in the future?
I had several groups of people complete a usability test on my platform. These groups included a new teacher with no experience, a teacher who has been in our program for one year, a mentor teacher, an instructional coach, and the director of academics. I believe I gathered the best range of participants who understood our goals and were committed to improving our program.
What impact did your platform (LMS, Google Docs, or other digital sharing) have on the testing and results?
All participants had previously used Google Classroom in their classrooms, which made it easy for them to test out the platform. The only issue I encountered was with sharing the platform. However, we found a solution so that all participants could have the full experience.
What were the lessons you learned from the usability testing feedback?
To improve the organization and progress of the course, I plan to implement two key changes based on the feedback received. First, all assignments will have clear due dates as soon as I meet with the team to finalize our calendar for the upcoming year. Second, we will include a video explanation alongside the introductory module to provide an additional layer of clarity regarding our expectations.
What have you done to your design to address the usability issues revealed in the testing? What have you added or taken away?
I will add due dates to assignments, create a dedicated video section, and collaborate with our teaching and learning team to determine the best fit.
How has this process improved your course and your learner's experience?
This feedback process has benefited the project by maximizing its potential for success. By implementing these changes, our new teachers will gain a variety of tools that will aid them in their development and enable their mentors to provide the best possible support during their training and work
How has the testing impacted your alignment of outcomes, activities, and assessment?
The consistent alignment of weekly outcome activities has been a major strength noticed by stakeholders. This organization simplifies navigation, reduces confusion, and optimizes meeting times for teachers and mentors.
How will you address the infrastructure, system, and support needs and issues the learner may face?
Whenever teachers or mentors encounter any issues, my team and I will always be available to meet and provide support to address their needs.
